(Reuters) – An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 struck northern Argentina on Thursday close to the town of El Hoyo but, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The quake, located 16 kilometers (10 miles) west of the town, was very deep, some 560.4 kilometers (348.2 miles) below the surface, and unlikely to cause any damage.
