From “cozzie livs” (cost of living, for the uninitiated) to “platty joobs”, Britain loves an abbreviation.
Coronation is a pretty hard one to abbreviate though, but the internet is trying its hardest.
One TikToker has given his top three in a video that now has over one million views.
Gathering inspiration from the late Queen’s platinum jubilee, Joe Foster said: “If you’re struggling for ways to abbreviate the King’s coronation as we do as Brits look no further, I’ve got you.
“So the Queen’s Jubilee and everyone calling it the platty joobs… my brain chemistry altered forever, so I just want to keep that going this year,” he added.
Corribobs
Pronounced cor-ree-bobs.
Foster said it’s a spin on the “classic holibobs”.
Corrie nash
In the viral video, Mr Foster says corrie nash – pronounced “naish”, the same as the beginning of the word nation – is “simple, rolls off of the tongue. It follows that you know, ‘platty joob’, ‘corrie nash’ vibe.
“I think that’s gonna be the winner.”
Chazzle dazzle
For number three, it’s “Chazzle Dazzle”.
“What time does the Chazzle Dazzle start?
“Not sure I love it, but I could use it,” Mr Foster said in the video.
Joining in on the fun, Google commented: “Corry Nash is really something.”
Another user commented: “We’re calling it the Corrie nay-nay in our house.”
Another said: “King’s Corrie. Easy.”
